Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center is set to open its doors on September 24, 2018 with the goal to help alleviate the child care crisis in the area. Thrive will be licensed for 82 children ranging in ages from 6 week to 5 years old.
Thrive Child Care and Family Resource Center is a newly established non-profit organization in Rochester whose mission is "building community one family at a time." Thrive believes that high-quality child care and family support should be available to all families regardless of their background or life circumstances. At Thrive, tuition assistance is offered to families who qualify to help alleviate the cost of child care. The tuition assistance program allows families the opportunity to give their children high-quality early childhood experience. The Family Resource Center will be a place for parents to learn about community resources, talk with experts in the field, and connect with other families.
Thrive is located in the lower level of Christ United Methodist Church. Three years ago, a group of church members decided to create a program to help solve a community issue. after years of planning and construction, Thrive is set to launch and begin to "build community one family at a time." A ribbon cutting ceremony and tours will be held to celebrate the grand opening on Thursday, September 20th at 5:30pm. Thrive hopes to share the excitement with the entire community! That following Sunday, September 23, at 10am and 12pm (after each service) everyone will be welcomed to tour the facility and join the pastors in blessing the space.
