Childrens Ministry
Your children are more than just a blessing to Christ United Methodist Church, they are an integral part of the church membership. They deserve our attention, our support, and our respect. To that end, you will find quality programming at CUMC that meets the needs of your family. It is our mission to provide faith-fulfilling opportunities to you and your children, thereby enriching your personal relationship with Christ and strengthening the connections within your family.
The Children's Ministry Team has chosen this cornerstone scripture to guide our ministry, Deuteronomy 6:4-9.
4 Attention, Israel! God, our God! God the one and only! 5 Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that's in you, love him with all you've got! 6-9 Write these commandments that I've given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates.
To that end, we offer Christian programming for children in the areas of worship, education, mission, and fellowship.

Preschool
He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. -Mark 10: 14, 16
The Preschool Ministry at Christ United Methodist Church delights in providing for the spiritual nurture of preschool children. We understand that our church is the primary partner with the parent in forming a lasting love of God.
KinderWorship
Designed for and led by children, KinderWorship introduces worship concepts to children ages 3 through Kindergarten. While traditional liturgy, like the Doxology and the Lord's Prayer, is memorized; children are allowed freedom of movement in large motor activity, games, and art projects. The Scriptures taught every week follow the lectionary. KinderWorship is a excellent mix of story, scripture, music, movement and creative art. This program is offered during the 9:00 sanctuary worship.
