We are putting together health kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)! UMCOR is in need of more of these kits that they can send to vulnerable people in need of relief all over the world.
From their website: “Health kits provide basic necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disaster. Health kits are also used as learning tools in personal hygiene, literacy, nutrition, and cooking classes.” Join us for an all-church service night, after VBS is over on Friday, at 3pm, July 17th, and donate materials for the kits by Sunday July 12th.
A beautiful country, with many heart breaking struggles. Through the gift that is Y.A.Mission to Guatemala, many people have been inspired to give years of their lives to serve--including Erin and Nick Gibbons, Heather Nielson and now Jan and John Lage.
For more information on serving the people of Guatemala for 10 days, January 1-10th 2016, contact Pastor Katy (firstname.lastname@example.org.)
